At Old Wesley RFC, the commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment goes far beyond the pitch. With a growing number of female members and visitors over the past five years, the club recognised the need to support women and girls in a way that truly matters, by championing period dignity and accessibility.
Leading the Way with Period Supportive Products
When Old Wesley RFC discovered FabLittleBag, it was a game-changer. In partnership with the IRFU, the club took proactive steps to ensure that every female player, supporter, and visitor feels comfortable and confident at every visit. From FabLittleBag disposal units and free period products in the club toilets to free personal period bags, for players FabLittleBag products are now a staple at Old Wesley RFC.
Youth Girls Breaking Down Barriers
The club’s youth girls have particularly embraced these products, using them as tools to break down barriers to participation. No longer is there a need for stress, awkwardness, or "handbag smuggling", just relaxed confidence and the freedom to focus on the game.

Old Wesley RFC is proud to empower people during their most vulnerable moments, replacing anxiety with assurance. By openly supporting period dignity, the club is helping to normalise conversations around periods and break down outdated taboos. This is more than a box ticked, it’s a cultural shift, setting a new standard for inclusion, support, and community spirit in rugby.
