FabLittleBag Partners with Oxfordshire FA: Periods Won’t Sideline Women’s Football
At FabLittleBag, we believe nothing should stop women and girls from thriving in sport—including their periods. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Oxfordshire FA, bringing free period products and our patented disposal bags to female footballers, coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators across Oxfordshire.
Tackling Period Poverty and Taboo in Football
For too long, periods have been an invisible barrier in sport. Recent Oxfordshire research shows that 24% of women have missed out on sporting activities because they couldn’t access affordable period products, and 1 in 5 have had to use makeshift materials like toilet roll. No one should ever have to choose between playing the game they love and managing their period with dignity.
This partnership means every coach working with women and girls will now have a Fab Coach’s Bag—packed with free period supplies and FabLittleBag disposal bags. Here’s what that changes:
· No more being caught short: Players, coaches, and supporters have immediate access to what they need, when they need it.
· Fighting period poverty: We’re making quality products available for free, helping remove a real financial barrier.
· Normalising periods: By making period care visible and accessible, we’re breaking down taboos and building confidence on and off the pitch.
This initiative builds on the existing support Oxfordshire FA provides through the county council, taking practical steps to make football more inclusive for all.
Why FabLittleBag?
Our patented disposal bags are designed to make period management easy, confident, and sustainable, whether there’s a bin nearby or not. Made from sugar cane, cornstarch, and recycled materials, FabLittleBags are opaque for discretion, seal closed with vegan glue to lock in odour and prevent leaks. It’s a simple solution that gives women and girls the confidence to focus on their game, not their disposal worries.

As our founder, Martha Silcott, shares:
“Periods must not be a barrier to participation in sports; however, research still shows that despite us being in 2026, they are. We are so delighted to partner with Oxfordshire FA. They have embraced our Period Supportive Movement with enthusiasm. They are committed to breaking down barriers and making football for girls and women accessible, fun and rewarding. We are so happy that positive solutions are now being delivered via our Coach’s Bags and kitting out clubs and stadiums helping to normalise periods.”
Driving Inclusion and Equality in Sport
With equality, diversity, and inclusion at the heart of Oxfordshire FA’s mission, this partnership is a powerful step towards a future where every woman and girl can participate confidently in football, regardless of their period. We’re proud to support their commitment to making football open to all.
As Jonathan Duckworth, Chief Executive of Oxfordshire FA,puts it:
“With EDI in our DNA, this partnership with FabLittleBag is another part of our wider inclusion and sustainability initiatives, and underscores our commitment to ensure that football throughout Oxfordshire is wholly inclusive for all women and girls. With support from local clubs and leagues, we would encourage every female football team in Oxfordshire to take part in, and benefit from, this opportunity.”
